What does “RP Intense” mean?
An RP intense MUD makes the main focus its role-play, the concept of taking on the persona of a character instead of oneself. No experience is earned for killing NPC’s or other players, though it is acceptable should it be prompted by sufficient in character reason.
This also means that actions should fit the bounds of the in character society. Plenty of information is available through help files, website writings, and asking questions on the question channel to make this feasible for everyone who desires to play. If your character’s actions deviate from the expected norms, expect a negative reaction from others.
Finally, the term “RP intense” connotes a strict policy of keeping absolutely all interaction between characters separate from out of character concerns. An enemy’s character may yet be your character’s friend. A friend’s character may end up your rival or worse in the game. This is all in fun, and at the end of the day, it is to be hoped that out of character friends are still friends and out of character enemies may perhaps become such.
